If I made you talk about the war, you'd probably quote me all of Shakespeare “Once again on the go my friends…” But you didn't experience the war. You have never held your best friend against you, you have not seen him panting until his last breath with a look that beseeches. If I make you talk about love, you'll probably tell me a sonnet. But you didn't know any women in front of whom you felt vulnerable. A woman who flaunted you with just one look. As if God had sent an angel to Earth for you, to pull you out of the depths of hell. But you don't know what it's like to be her angel. And to know that the love you have for her is eternal, and will survive everything, even cancer. And the nights spent sitting in a hospital room for months, holding her hand, because the doctors saw in your eyes that you had no intention of complying with visiting hours. You don't know what it's like to lose someone, because you only know that when you know how to love more than you love yourself. I doubt you've ever dared to love so much. When I look at you, it's not an intelligent and solid man that I see, what I see is a cheeky kid, who is scared to death. But you're a genius Will, no one denies that. No one could understand what is inside you. But you assume that you know everything about me because you saw a painting that I painted, and that allows you to dissect my life. You're an orphan, aren't you? Do you think I know anything about the difficulties you've had in life, how you feel, who you are, because I read Oliver Twist ? Is that enough to sum you up? Personally, I really don't give a fuck about all that, because I'll tell you, I don't have anything to learn from you that I wouldn't read in any book.
